To my dearest D Music friends,

first I would like to apologize for being away for about 2 years, I have checked in periodically, but just didn't upload anything particular.
I have been making music videos and just pressing my ass off.
Meaning, kissing the right ass, making the right connections and just plain thinking that I can do it. You have to believe in yourself because you know what, you can do anything you what, heard about the secret? We have been using it and didnt know what we where doing!

These new songs are a few that I have made over the past 2 years, and I wanted these to be special, and memorable in someway to you the listener and friend.
I hope you have not forgotten about me, because your not going to recognize this new person. I am not the same person of course, I have evolved into Fabian Starr.
This is exciting for me and kinda dramatic, I have let go of childish ways, I have found the light of hope, and more importantly, I believe I can do anything. How did I get here?, well lots of cabin time, taking part of the peace pipe, learning about the secrets of life. Sounds granola, but it isn't, I'm still street, just with more heart.

TV is a diversion for us, to keep us away from the secrets of life.
Your job is to learn that you are the comeback for those around you and more importantly to yourself. How do you comeback? Everyone has there own way, attitude, or belief system. I say forget your life, forget what you have been taught, follow your heart and life will give you what you deserve or not.
Be optimistic, not unrealistic.

You can check out my new vidoe music page at www.myspace.com/fabianstarr Your going to freak out I hope.
and listen to the www.thegspod.com and look for my upcoming podcast!

all my best
always,
fabian

So I have been on a long long long vacation, and I don't understand why I did'nt do this sooner. I have been to Lake Lure, and Ashville N.C. and to Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach and just got back from the opening of Noche in New York City. I am so exhausted but glad to be home. I have to homes that I work from now so I will be trying to balance alot so forgive me if I do not send these little notes often. I just am busy. To answer everyones notes to your questions have I stopped making music? No I just need to take a break. Being a solo artist is not easy when you record write and produce all by yourself. Each song is about a week of work at 10 hours a day. So do the math. As far as royalties, I have been living well of those early songs that I released along time ago, thats cool, and all the merch my store sells so I am not starving. As to who Toby is, well he is someone very very special whom "I adore more then my own hair color!" ;) (Wink) I don't die my hair but I love a good john waters flick. Thank jesus for him. Oh bye the way Jesus and Mary Magdalene where married and she is the blessed bride of Jesus so get used to that because I am gonna do my like a prayer album next! ok lots of love Fabian

This has been a most interesting past few months or should I say month. I was found threw this site and others on the internet by my sisters I never really got to meet. To make a long story short, sometimes relationships do not work and my father moved on to start a new life. In that new life he had 3 children and a wife. And the 2 sisters that I have found me threw the internet. Imagine the kind of shock I was under when my sister Christina the one on the left, said " reading your journal was like looking around in your bedroom" wow. That is funky and cool in a way. It's amazing how many people you can reach threw the internet and around the world. Even if I never get a recording contract with the big wigs in LA, I got something more valuable. And that is family. Maybe someday you will learn the story of my life, and belive me, it is not what you might have expected. I't will be one for the record books thats for sure...
Lots of love, Fabian

I am happy to be home in the USA. I hope you like my new song, there is more to come but not as fast as the others. I have to take my time! lol bye

Wow, I am watching the Michael Jackson thing on 20/20 and it is so sad, I feel really sorry for him. I think he is so misunderstood. All I can see is an innocent man child who just wants to be loved. I think its ironic how he is so trapped by the same people who claim to love him. How could this have happened to him? This makes me sad for him, It's apparent to me that he is a gay man, which makes this worse. Imagine being the worlds most famous person, but your sexuality is trapping you from being the real you. I see a comeback for him. I think he should come out of the closet and be himself and say fuck you to everyone else. I am a Michael Jackson fan, and I support him.

Hello ya'll. well lets see what have I been doing. Well to answer that I have to go back about 2 weeks. RCA records has a band, they just signed to their label. The lead singer after recording half of the album was killed in a car accident. My "agent" wanted me to download a huge ass wav file, it think it was like 57 mb big. I did, then I learned the lyrics, and I recorded it it and shot it back over to them. I think there new offices are in LA. So I know I won't get the gig but the band is auditioning the MP3's as we speak. Isnt that interesting? The record company's using MP3's to listen to there future band leaders? Anyways, I think I might release it here on DMUSIC.com after the deadline for the submissions are in. Because It was a fat ass song, and I worked hard on it. I don't think I was what they where looking for but to be asked was an honor in it's self. It's very LINCOLN PARKISH. Ok so I have been recording some more less dance tracks because as winter rolls around I don't fell like my inner child needs the extra drama.
Out To LA was my last "Dance Track, and I know some of you are happy about that but wait till 2003 because my sound will revert back to the Futuristic sound. I would like to thank Madonna for stealing my laugh in her new song. As some of you may not know, I have a huge homo and straight fan base in England. And I think some of my unreleased dance traxx made it there way into her computer. But who cares Imitation is flattery and god knows I have imitated her for ever. So thats the scoop. The song, I will release for XMASS is called , ALL OVER its a very different Fabian sound and I know you will like it. The music was made by the band I spoke of in the beging of this post. What else, oh I have a new website that sells my own CHACKAS or JUNK. It's so gay but its cool too. www.cafeshops.com/fabian .
You wont belive what they are selling with my face on it. Oh god I'm being branded and marketed! So what else, oh here is something you might find really weird but cool. I listen to the ARTBELL coast to coast, I have actually been a long time listener, over 5 years, anywho last night Linda Molton Howe was on www.earthfiles.com, and she was talking about the crop circles and things. You should read up on that its very informative. What else, lets see um oh there is some awsome talent on this site, and I am proud to be surrounded by such hard workers and talent. Keep up the good work and until my next release, god bless, or what ever spirit or entity you belive in!

Hello again out there in DMUSIC. Well lets see I know I jump around and I never stay on topic, I have to admit the song the Key sucks but you know I try, I do all of this alone so I get no feed back during production. I thought my vocals were weak as hell but you do what you can. I could have preformed it better. Anywho, all is good, I have been doing alot of apperances around Charlotte and I am going to be heading out to London in the spring of next year for some shows at some pubs, trying to keep it real. I just wanted to thank DMUSIC for putting up with me and they know what I mean. I promise as god and the goddess are my witnesses, If I someday make it big I will do what ever promotional things they would like for me to do within the confines of my schedule.
Tori Amos, as you may not know Tori has a new album out and I have heard some of the trax. And I have to tell you now they are AWSOME. Good bye little earth quakes and hello new album, Gold Dust is an awsome tune
staring kinda slow with an excellent piano intro, then builds, very dramatic and mellow. Her voice is true Tori form, "Sights and sounds, pull me back another year", I was here, I was here. ETC the vocalizations are so amazing and pretty. Thats my girl. then I listened to a Sorta Fairy Tale, AWSOME! this is really hard to explain but I can say that its a very nice song that keeps you remembering "This SORTA Fairy Tale.
The Vocalizations are very familar and true TORI FORM. I think this will be alot of Tori fans favorite one. Amber Waves is nice and very mellow. You can tell that in this album Tori was very introspective almost sad, I wonder why? could it be that she watched all that has been happening from across the pond? ;) (Wink) It must be hard for her being from my home state of North Carolina to see the things that have happened to us this past year. And not be able to be here in person, but who knows? I heard a song Named after a breakfast food and I wont say what it is you have to get the album first! LOL its cool not my favorite but then again what the hell do I know?
MADONNA
"Just heard the official cut of the radio version of 'Die Another Day' (as it IS called) It's an epic in true Bond style and here's a run-down on how it sounds...

It starts with a great string section - realy dramatic and it misleads you into thinking it's a regular showy-bond theme. However, you know Madonna's changed the script as soon as the beats start - very Mirwais! Great hard, bare beats in the style of 'Music'. It's a surprise when the vocal comes in - Madonna sounds like Bjork at first and there is use of a vocoder (as in 'Impressive Instant', only not as heavy).

Each line of the verses start with "I'm gonna..." and
are very simple but effective. Lyrics are great - example: "I'm gonna break the cycle, I'm gonna shake up the system" and "I'm gonna avoid the cliche, I'm gonna suspend my senses" but the best lyric that really stood out was when Madonna whispers "Sigmund Freud - analyse this!" over and over. The chorus repeats "I'm gonna die another day, it's not my time to go".

Production is superb - the track cuts out to silence several time very effectively and the beats are hard and fast. Very French, Daft-Punk style. The strings feature intermittently throughout to really lift it. Not dissapointing at all - the buzz on this track is building already.

As you know I have no relationship with either artist but someday I plan on being there best friends, LOL you know very ABFAB, I can say that these two artist who are my main influences are still pumping out the hits and I am proud of them, my only teachers in music.
Well until we meet someday

;) (Wink) fabian
